Surprise addition for my bathroom!

So as you may know, I've been collecting the OG walnut MOLGER bathroom set for my tiny dream apartment renovation, with great success, but today I managed to snag one more unexpected piece!

Hey hej to my new MOLGER mirror!

This is different than my MOLGER medicine cabinet, and is just a shallow mirror/shelf that I'll be mounting over my toilet.

Hopefully I'll be able to get it installed this week and post a full update.

Woah what a blast from the past! It's always so great adding a new piece to something you're collecting!

Just out of curiosity, where are your top places to source items like this? Facebook Marketplace?

No, I avoid Facebook like the plague. I legitimately only have it for a few family members and for work stuff, otherwise I'd have deleted my account years ago 😅

Primarily Kijiji and eBay are my go-tos.

I hear ya! I’ve had a lot of luck finding some cool home decor on Facebook Marketplace - it may be worth perusing every once and a while! But it’ll never hold a candle to Kijiji or eBay, no doubt.

As promised (although a bit behind schedule), the last of the wall drywall went up today, and the MOLGER mirror took its place alongside my MOLGER medicine cabinet.  I also got the electrical finished up on Monday, so I'm nearing a "functionally complete" status on this project.

Tomorrow is a full-court press to get the ceiling completely framed and start getting the ceiling drywall in. 20220608_000118.jpg20220608_000126.jpg

(I know those light bulbs are horrendous, I've got some old-fashioned "Edison-style" smartbulbs coming in tomorrow to replace the cheap ones in there now)

I've also tracked down a matching walnut MOLGER toilet paper holder and possibly the elusive matching walnut MOLGER hooks too!

I've been waiting on this one! The MOLGER furniture looks great. They honestly complete each other better than I imagined. Did you already know where to place them?

I'm also trying to wrap my head around what "Edison-style" smartbulbs look like

The medicine cabinet and towel bar I had figured out. The shelf placement was my housemate's idea, lol. She thought it would look best if it was lined up with the bottom of the medicine cabinet, and she was right.
The square mirror was just dumb luck. I hadn't planned on aquiring one so when I came across that one, I made some quick measurements and that space just happened to line up, so inspired by my housemate's idea from the shelf, I lined it up with the top of the medicine cabinet's mirror.

As for the bulbs, they're installed and look great! My phone's camera doesn't really do them justice.

It's a much warmer light - and the bulbs are colour-tuneable so I can adjust them for my need. And they really help with the cozy relaxing atmosphere.

I've got a full-RGB smart LED "potlight" (is it still a potlight when there's no "pot"?) for the shower too, although as I suspected, I'll need to add an additional light to even things out a bit on the side where I'm standing in that second picture. Probably another LED potlight.

I like them a lot! Definitely more than the original lighting. Great choice honestly 😁
