Entrance ways are one of the most important yet overlooked part of our homes. They welcome us in and see us out every single day, but with all the coming and going, shoes can pile up, coats can block the space, and our little hallways can quickly become cluttered and forgotten.
Which is why we’d LOVE to see the ways you work your hallway and keep it calm, cool and clutter-free. Maybe you’ve recruited the help of a #hemnes (shoe storage) unit to house spare shoes. Perhaps you’ve put up a beautiful feature mirror to open up the space and maximise light.

My entranceway is a tricky thing.
Coming in from outside is a small landing, then the stairs down to the basement, but that's all part of the shared space in the house, as it's used for accessing the laundry/storage room.
Then at the bottom of the stairs is be the door that leads to my private space. There will be a cozy hallway/foyer just inside my door when work is done with room for storage.
The foyer will probably have a HEMNES (Bench) and TJUSIG (Hanger), with some BRANÄS (Basket) baskets on the shelf of the bench, a LINDBYN (Mirror), and a #DRÖNJÖNS (Wall storage with hooks), which doesn't seem to be in the database here yet, for keys and such.
The tricky bit is at the top of the stairs.
I need to take off my shoes up there when they're wet/snowy/dirty so I don't track muck down the shared stairs, but there's not a lot of space up there, so my best plan so far is a set of TRONES (Shoe/storage cabinet). The plastic construction will make it easy to clean up, and the slim profile should fit in the nook along the exterior wall.
The nook is 5" deep, so the Trones will only stick out about 2" into the stars, which is acceptible.
Then the main storage for my messger bags, coats, keys, parcels, and all the rest can happen in my foyer downstairs.

While I was reading this, I was also thinking about the TRONES (Shoe/storage cabinet)! This might or might not work, but what do you think of adding hooks?

I've actually thought about it, but I'm not sure if I want to go that way at the top of the stairs.
If I put too many I'd be afraid of crowding the stairs, and there's not a huge need for them up there.
The way I see it, I'll mostly get ready to go in my downstairs foyer, where there's a bench and more room, and then just use the top of the stairs as a quick stop for wet/dirty shoes.

Wow! I love the minimalist and open feeling of your hallway!
Are those LACK shelves too?

Yes it is LACK 😆👍 also with FEJKA cherry-blossoms on top 🙂 it's exactly what I wanted, a minimal design for my narrow entryway 🙂

The all-white wall and TRONES, along with the neutral wood tones of the floor, shelves, and pot really make the FEJKA (Artificial potted plant) pop!
And with the light through the glass door it really helps open it up and make it feel bigger.
I love it!

I'm looking forward to seeing it too! I've changed my entryway about 5 times and I'm not content. I'll share mine soon

Please don't mind the mess😅😁, but does anyone have a suggestion to improve my entryway? We're so many that shoes easily pile up. Is there something that's able to store the shoes without taking too much space?
