The mattress needs to be re-packaged, whether it is in the same packaging that it came in, or another package. This is to prevent damages during the return process.
Please note that you do not have to roll the mattress back to it's original packaged state, it will be very hard to do so.
Ensure you place a cover on it to keep it clean while on route to the store. If a cover is not accessible, please make sure the mattress is properly covered in plastic, or you may purchase a mattress bag from the store at the delivery counter.
