Missing part from TARVA - no part number

I’m missing a part from my bed frame (https://www.ikea.com/ca/en/p/tarva-bed-frame-pine-s29930097/) however of the parts listed in the beginning of the manual, the only part that is shown without a part number is the one I’m missing (one of the two long metal pieces on page 3 of the manual, the second long metal piece under the other metal piece that does have a part number). I believe they are the same pieces used on the MALM beds (step 8 in https://www.ikea.com/us/en/assembly_instructions/malm-bed-frame-high-black-brown__AA-740446-8-2.pdf), but these are out of stock. Any suggestions on what to do?

Hi Fjällbo!

I actually just realized there are part numbers (they were way off to the side, which is why I missed them initially) - 114290 and 114291. However I see that the parts and the suggested replacement parts are unavailable. This was purchased in 2016 - any idea when these might be back in stock, or have they been out of stock for some time now?

When I try and order the replacement part (the identical one) I get this error message: spareParts.error.custom.ITEM_UNAVAILABLE

Should I reach out directly via social media even though it says it’s unavailable?

Thanks for the reply, Jacob! It looks like the replacement part is out of stock as well right now. In this case, we recommend trying again for both of them in about a week or so.

I’ve been checking every few days and still hasn’t come into stock… are you able to see on your side the last time it was in stock?

Also, would you recommend going into my local ikea store and asking them there if they have it in storage or something?

We regrettably can’t check last stock times on our end. However, we can recommend visiting your local IKEA location. However, as we can’t promise they have a spare in storage, we’d only recommend going if it’s not too far out of your way.

Otherwise, we can ask that you try again online in 1-2 weeks.
