KALLAX Insert Design Flaw Problem

I purchased an IKEA Kallax unit (1x4) assembled it and secured it to the wall as recommended using the hardware provided (plus my own wall fasteners. I also bought a couple of doors to put on the unit however, the section that has the wall fasteners in it cannot accept a door insert. The mounting hardware to secure the unit to the wall interferes with the insert and will not allow it to be pushed to the back of the cubbyhole. Not only is this extremely frustrating as I now have to figure out a work-around, I feel it’s an issue that likely should have been addressed a long time ago. Perhaps no one else is actually securing their unit to the wall, but I really feel that IKEA designers should have been on top of that design flaw.

Has anyone else had this problem and if so, how did you deal with it?
