Fanny, I assembled a Hemnes nightstand and 2 dressers (different sizes) and have had no problems with any of them. I have had them for years and moved a few times and they are still sturdy and the drawers slide great. I would suggest that you either reassemble it or exchange it for a new one. Either this one is defective or it was not assembled 100% correctly.
