Fyresdal Daybed & Mattress

Am wondering if a mattress, measuring 75"long x 39"wide, would fit in this daybed?

It is slightly bigger than the Ikea mattresses, which are 74 3/8"long x 38.25"wide, that can go with this daybed.

The daybed frame measures in at 77.5"long x 41 3/8"wide, so in theory my mattress should work; am wanting confirmation/clarity from others if they've been able to use a different mattress other than Ikea's.

Hej  @rejuvenate! Thanks for joining the community and for this great question. The mattress you're describing which is meant to go with our FYRESDAL (Daybed frame) sits pretty snug already. Even with just less than an inch difference, we can't recommend it, unfortunately. If anyone else has tried it, please feel free to chime in!

I am concerned about the comfort level of the slimmer Ikea Mattresses that can fit this daybed (Minnesund, Meistervik and Vannareid); wrongly or not, and having slept just once on, what I found, an uncomfortable slim Ikea Mattress (not sure which one), I equate a thicker mattress with more comfort so now will ask if the Morgedal mattress would fit? Doubling them up would make the look considerably higher - but do you think it'd look ok? - and would it be a little harder to maneuver than the 2 slimmer mattresses?

That's a great question,  @rejuvenate. I don't see why that wouldn't work as the measurements match. You can even use our HAUGESUND (Spring mattress) in twin size since it's thicker.
