Questions about kitchen buying.

This is not our first IKEA kitchen.  We successfully planned and installed an Akurum kitchen in our previous home.  However, at that time we were within easy driving distance of an IKEA store.  Now we are not, and I'm trying to find out how the process works and how much can be done online.

I have the kitchen fully planned in the planner with notes about changes, etc.  If I then click on 'Proceed', what happens?  What are the next steps?  Can a kitchen be fully ordered and paid for online?  We realize that we will have to travel to the closest store to pick up items that aren't available for delivery, and we also realize that likely not everything will be available all at once, but we're wondering if we have to go in to the store to order and pay?

To answer your question, If you click on proceed it will ask you if you want to send your plan for verification (I think that this step is already done) so the other choice is to add your plan to your shopping bag, you will then be able to place your order, either for delivery or a pick up at a place of your choice,  and yes, you will be able and will have  to pay for you order online, if you want us to proceed in preparing your order.

Please note that any items that are not in stock at that moment will return to your shopping cart.

You will have to check on your own if those items are back in stock.

You also have the opportunity to place a reservation at a store of your choice  and we will notify you only when all the missing items are back in stock.

The only thing, a reservation order needs to be pick up at the store, it cannot be delivered.

Once the order is verified, is there a time limit to how long I can wait before placing the order?  I'm talking waiting maybe 6 - 8 weeks.

There is nothing preventing you in waiting 6-8 weeks before doing your order.

Personally, I would advise you to start the sooner the better to be sure you'll have all your items when they'll be needed.

It also guarantees your prices, once you place the order your prices will be guaranteed for the next 6 months.
